Breakfast Energizers To Keep Your Skin Radiant

The market abounds with various skin care products. While these are helpful, the best way to combat aging skin is work your way from the inside out. After all, our skin is part of the body. What you eat can have a good or bad effect on your skin.

And, the best time to eat these beauty foods is in the morning. So here are some simple breakfast energizer recipes to keep your skin looking radiant and beautiful.

Omelet Italian Style
The main ingredient of this recipe is tomato. It contains lycopene which is good for your skin. It is also a rich source of Vitamin E.

COOK TIME: 9 min
TOTAL TIME: 14 min
SERVINGS: 1

Ingredients:
1 Tbsp chopped onion
1 Tbsp chopped green bell pepper
1 Tbsp chopped tomatoes + more tomatoes for garnish
1 egg, beaten
2 egg whites, beaten
½ tsp italian seasoning
1 tsp grated Parmesan cheese

Procedure:
1. Saute onions and peppers over medium heat for 2 minutes.
2. Add the tomatoes. Cook for a minute until it soft.
3. Add the egg and egg whites. Sprinkle with the seasoning. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 5 minutes, until the eggs are cooked.
4. Sprinkle with the cheese and fold the omelet in half.

Strawberry-Kiwi Smoothie
If you don’t have much time in the morning, this breakfast smoothie can give you an instant facelift. Both fruits are rich in Vitamin C, which can prevent wrinkles.

SERVINGS: 4

Ingredients:
1¼ cup cold apple juice
1 ripe banana, sliced
1 kiwifruit, sliced
5 frozen strawberries
1½ tsp honey

Procedure:
Combine the juice, banana, kiwifruit, strawberries, and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Green Tea, Blueberry, and Banana Smoothie
Here is another quick smoothie to have for breakfast. These ingredients are rich in antioxidants that protect skin from damage caused by UV rays.
PREP TIME: 5 min
COOK TIME: 0 min
TOTAL TIME: 5 min
SERVINGS: 1

Ingredients:
3 Tbsp water
1 green tea bag
2 tsp honey
1½ c frozen blueberries
½ med banana
¾ c calcium fortified light vanilla soy milk

Procedure:
1. Brew green tea and add honey to taste. Set aside.
2. Blend berries, banana, milk, and ice.
3. Add tea to blender. Blend ingredients on ice crush or highest setting until smooth. (Some blenders may require additional water to process the mixture.) Pour smoothie into tall glass and serve.
